REXBURG 4th OF JULY: “We’re Coming To Rexburbia”
We’re coming to Rexburbia! Just place the melody from Neil Diamond’s hit song in your head and you’ll picture me driving across the Utah/Idaho border as my family and I make the yearly pilgrimage to Rexburg for the 4th.
Ever since moving back to the west four years ago we’ve made the trip up in order to spend time with family and relive memories. This year will be different in a few ways
1) No parents. My mom and dad are out in DC visiting my very pregnant and soon to give life sister. It will be a little odd crashing in their house without them but this year it means running on a different schedule and having more time getting with friends.
2) A reunion of sorts with high school friends in Porter Park on Friday the 3rd. If you want to say hi and catch up on things we’ll be joining others from the Madison class of 93′ from 1 to 6pm.
3) The first 4th with a revamped Rexburbia site. That means added pressure to come up with interesting content to post. I’ll be shooting and uploading video from my fancy new phone and hopefully doing some man on the street type interviews. If you see a bald guy and a microphone stop and say hi.
I’m excited to come up and get my Rexburg mojo refilled and I hope to see you there. If you want to get together please email me at Dallan@Rexburbia.com.
Update: Unfortunately we’re not coming to Rexburg for the weekend. We’ll have to meet up later.
