REXBURG HISTORY: “1966 Teton Drive-In”
by Dallan Wright
I found this while searching through ebay. Usually just postcards show up in a search of Rexburg but this is a real gem.
If you used to live in Rexburg many years past you’ll remember what fun it was to head to the drive-in and watch a couple late night movies. My favorite was Cram-Car-Night. That’s when we took our massive green Chevy station-wagon (the Green Bomb), and loaded up with everyone in the neighborhood. It was just five bucks to get in. Before entering the drive-in we would stop at the gas station by the bowling alley and load up milk jugs with soda. They used to let you do that. One jug per person.

Auction ends in five days from now.

I was the kitchen manager who helped open up the Teton-Vu Drive In this year and I have to say it was a blast. Some things have changed over the years, that’s for sure (movie companies don’t allow us to charge per car, we have to charge per person) but it is still a different kind of movie experience and we had a great time this summer. We are planning to open again in the spring, hope to see everyone back for great food and some good movies!
