IDAHO POLITICS: “Yet Another Election”
I know it seems like there’s an election every year and someone is always talking about it, but guess what, there is an election every year, so I’m going to talk about it.

2010 will be a big year. Not only do we decide if we will say “twenty ten” or “two thousand and ten”, we also get to decide on new representation in Congress. Representative Mike Simpson’s seat is up for election that year. He will be running for reelection, but there is another contender, Chick Heileson.
Voters will need to decide between experience or potential. While both have served our country well, both have served in different capacities. Congressman Simpson has been in Congress for almost 11 years, while Heileson would be a newcomer to Washington’s House of Representatives.
I’ll leave the decision making to you, and my opinion will be revealed at a later date. In the meantime you can do your own research. After all, it’s never too early to start your own research. Below you can find the links to both candidates websites by clicking on the logo below.

Knowing nothing other than their logo design I’m going to have to go with CHICK. Mike Simpson has the star over the ‘i’ but Chick’s star is bigger (very important), and you just can’t stop looking at that ‘CHICK’.
Is Chick a boy or a girl?
Let’s hope that we all put more thought into voting than simply choosing the logo we like best. I would encourage you to do some research and look at the things Simpson has done for Idaho. Considering our economic situation we need someone with experience and tenure in DC more than ever. What will we gain with two freshmen in Congress?
This will be an interesting election year indeed. Mike Simpson has done some good things for Idaho in Congress. Chick does have a pretty sweet logo, though!
